I have a Sony video camera that I really like. However, I want to use a better microphone. Since the camera has a “shoe” (the thing where you attach a microphone) that only works for Sony microphones, my choices are extremely limited. For my model, there are only a couple of microphone selections.
This is one of the things that is wrong with Sony – they are still trying to lock people into their system instead of using standards.
